small things
for friends
I wanted to collect in one place the small works I make for people and places I’m friends with. These are posters, posts, prints and merch for Lado and the Brusnikin Workshop.

An urban bistro and bar in a 17th-century mansion.
Lado’s events and collaborations need posters and posts. They have to be made for all kinds of occasions, without long briefs, and still look the way the place usually looks.
Lado’s posters should look like each other without repeating themselves. I hold to the place’s common style and come up with a separate story for every event.

The theatre grew out of Dmitry Brusnikin’s course at the MKhAT School-Studio. We made the print as a pair with graphic designer Natalia Strizhneva.
The Brusnikin Workshop was turning 10, and for the anniversary it needed a print for a poster and a T-shirt.
How do you show ten years of theatre with a single sign? We took the Roman numeral X and made it out of light: the beams of theatre spotlights cross and form the ten on their own.
